Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in cost or manufacturing accounting Supervisory experience Bachelors degree Nice to Have Skills & Experience SAP experience Job Description The Senior Cost Accounting Manager leads the financial analysis of purchased finished goods, manufacturing, and operational processes to drive profitability and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will focus on cost transparency, operational efficiency, and provide the business with understanding of costs. Responsibilities •
Cost System Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain robust cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy. •
Inventory Control:
Oversee the accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. •
Financial Analysis:
Analyze production and purchasing costs, manufacturing variances (labor, overhead, materials), and gross margin results to identify cost-saving opportunities and explanations of changes. •
Standard Costing:
Establish and routinely update standard costs for materials and labor, ensuring they reflect current manufacturing or purchasing realities. •
Business Partnership:
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and R D teams to understand cost drivers and support strategic decision-making. •
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and manufacturing operations. Salary 120,000 - 140,000
