Financial Accounting Manager Location (city, state): Richmond, VA (100% Onsite)
Compensation:
$120,000•$135,000 / Year + Bonus + Relocation Assistance if needed.

Job Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Manage general ledger accounting activities related to revenue, inventory, fixed assets, purchasing, and balance sheet accounts. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Partner with operational accounting teams to ensure Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger. Assist with maintaining and strengthening internal controls and accounting processes. Support external audits and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies across accounting operations. Mentor and review the work of accounting staff while helping build and scale the accounting function. Collaborate closely with the Director of Accounting and executive leadership team as the organization continues to grow.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. CPA required. 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Assistant Controller, Technical Accounting Manager, or strong Senior Accountant. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience leading month-end close and managing general ledger accounting functions. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. Experience within construction, engineering, consulting, IT services, manufacturing, or project-based environments is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
