Job Description

Accounting Manager (Contract) — Virginia Beach, VA Onsite contract role (through September min.) with an established real estate / property management firm. Must be local to the Hampton Roads / Virginia Beach / Norfolk area.
A true player/coach seat:
you'll manage close timelines and review the team's work, while also digging into reconciliations and variance explanations yourself. We need a flexible self-starter who can hit the ground running. What you'll do Manage the monthly/mid-month close timeline for a team of accountants Review variance analysis and reconciliations across revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounts Handle GL activity, journal entries, and recurring GL maintenance Coach and review the team's work (review-focused, no direct reports) Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting What you need Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (required) 4-5 years of accounting experience with supervisory/review responsibility Real estate or property management accounting experience (must-have) Advanced Excel; Workday a plus

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
