Accounting Manager (Radiology)

Northwest Radiologists/Mt Baker Imaging a well-established radiology group in Bellingham, WA, is currently seeking a full time Accounting Manager with five years+ accounting experience, with experience in intercompany and related party transactions. Healthcare accounting experience preferred. Sage 100/Mas90 experience is a plus.

GENERAL SUMMARY

An exempt position responsible for assisting in financial objectives; analyzing and reporting accounting variances; developing and monitoring accounting reports and control mechanisms. Work is performed in an office setting. Typically, the work schedule is 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday. A flexible 4-day work week may be permitted based on workload and/or deadlines. PAY RANGE

$90,000 - $120,000 DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Directs and coordinates activities of payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, and tax payments. 2. Responsible for oversight of accounts payable and cost control. Serves as backup to accounts payable processing during times of need. 3. Posts adjusting journal entries for receivables, capital lease, prepaids, etc. 4. Assists independent auditors with interim and year-end audits and verify accuracy of reports. 5. Prepares monthly tax filings for Dept of Revenue and City of Bellingham and annual tax filings for personal pro 6. Responsible for fixed asset maintenance and reconciliations. 7. Responsible for invoicing and tracking rent receivables. 8. Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll along with filing all applicable tax filings (FUTA, SUTA, LNI, WPFML, LTC, W2, etc.). 9. Responsible for account reconciliations and bank reconciliations. 10. Responsible for filing annual Form 1099s. 11. Assists with budgeting as needed. 12. Special Projects as assigned.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge:

Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge of budgeting and cost accounting principles. Thorough understanding of amortization schedules and posting interest vs. principal payments. Understanding of business entities (LLC vs. S-Corp). Understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties.

Skills:

Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent analytical and math skills. Excellent verbal, listening, writing, problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills. Skill in dealing with multiple projects and interruptions. Strong organizational skill; attention to detail.

Abilities:

Ability to analyze financial reports. Ability to prepare accounting reports. Ability to work independently, or with a team, and meet deadlines as assigned. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain banking relationships.
