Job Description
DUTIES:
- Maintain daily bookkeeping; payroll or managing payroll system, taxes, pay bills, maintain general ledgers, gather financial information, spread grant money, bank deposits, bank reconciliation.
- Submit vouchers on time for funders
- Process client financial assistance requests
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain Accounting System
- Prepare reports and financial audit information for board and funders
- Computer Data Input for finances
- Filing highly confidential information
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, QuickBooks and Excel. General computer skills, knowledge of office procedures, protocol & etiquette, filing systems, office equipment (fax, copy machine, phones). Knowledge of accounting. Flexibility to do projects as demanded, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to maintain strict confidentiality, ability to supervise self, to work under pressure, manage time and projects, have sensitivity towards clients. Ability to edit, proofread and correct. Ability to resolve situations as they arise.REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- At least 2 years accounting and/or bookkeeping
- Reliable Transportation, valid drivers license and proof of insurance
- Able to work independently
- Understand and communicate both orally and in writing
- Type a minimum of 50 WPM
- Criminal background check required
Pay:
$54,000.00- $69,000.
