Cost Accounting Manager Location:
Port Washington Compensation:
$110,000 to $130,000 + bonus The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to support a growing manufacturing organization with a strong project-based revenue component. This role will work closely with the CFO and play a key part in ensuring accurate costing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Responsibilities Manage cost accounting processes, including job costing and inventory valuation Apply and oversee percentage of completion (POC) accounting for project-based work Partner with operations to track costs, margins, and project performance Support monthly close with accurate cost and revenue recognition Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadership Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes Strengthen internal controls and improve cost accounting processes Prepare reporting and ad hoc analysis for the CFO Profile Experience with percentage of completion (POC) accounting required Background in manufacturing or project-based environments preferred Senior Accountant ready to step up or prior manager-level experience Strong understanding of cost accounting and revenue recognition Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work independently and partner directly with executive leadership
