Job Description

Description:
As the Accounting Manager, you will maintain and manage the accounting activities for the Legacy Seeds business. You will provide exceptional financial service for the Company's customers, both internal and external, while exercising integrity, exceptional service, confidentiality, and a high degree of accuracy in all reporting. The Company will look to you for leadership and optimization of our financial transactions and systems. Duties and responsibilities Manage accounting functions including general ledger, A/P and inventory according to GAAP, and assist in A/R management in relation to revenue reconciliations Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as needed Maintain fixed assets and book/tax depreciation Manage the AP process Ensure all account, tax and licensing laws and regulations are complied with Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures Manage the inventory processes, including contracts, purchase orders/invoicing, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation & reports Payroll & other HR support as needed Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements:
BS Accounting degree, CPA or 8 years related work experience Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Excel experience required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIFS, etc.) Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite Inclination for straight forward communication, direct feedback, and a strong group work ethic Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the capacity to engage with others in addressing business issues. High degree of accuracy
