ABOUT THE ROLE SB
America is seeking an experienced and self-driven Finance & Accounting Specialist to independently manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a sole-accountant position within the Management Support Team, requiring strong command of both US GAAP and intercompany reporting to our Korean parent company, Sambo Motors Korea. ──────────────────────────────────────────
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable & Receivable Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices in QuickBooks; manage outstanding payable balances Record and reconcile accounts receivable transactions; follow up on outstanding receivables Review and process utility invoices; prepare expenditure approval requests Financial Close & Reporting Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare management reports and financial data for Korean headquarters in both English and Korean Intercompany & Cash Management Manage and reconcile intercompany receivables and payables with SBK (Korea), SBM (Mexico), SBAM, and SBP Prepare and maintain daily cash position reports Develop and update monthly cash flow plans and short-term forecasts Tax & Compliance Oversee federal and state tax filings (IRS, Alabama DOR) including sales & use tax and payroll tax Coordinate with external CPA firm for audits and annual tax preparation Payroll Process payroll and manage related filings (W-2, 1099, payroll tax deposits) Review and verify all expenditure approval documentation prior to payment processing ──────────────────────────────────────────
QUALIFICATIONS
Required 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a US subsidiary of a Korean company Proficiency in QuickBooks (required) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities as a sole accountant Preferred Experience with intercompany reporting to a Korean parent company Manufacturing or automotive industry background Familiarity with Alabama state tax regulations ──────────────────────────────────────────
