One of 58 counties in California, Contra Costa County serves the 11th largest public-school student population in the state, supporting approximately 169,394 students. Officially established in 1932, CCCOE has a long history of providing direct services to some of the county's most vulnerable students, including young people who are incarcerated, experiencing homelessness, in foster care, or who have severe physical or emotional challenges. Job Summary Job Summary Under direction, develops, maintains, supports, reviews, and advises on school district finance and accounting activities; provides accounting support in the review, analysis, and development of designated budgets; prepares a variety of financial, statistical and budgetary reports, statements, and records; and performs related duties as assigned. The District Fiscal Advisor position requires expertise in school district finance and accounting to independently provide fiscal guidance, analyze financial data, and support compliance and effective financial operations for districts and county staff. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: • Equivalent to bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional accounting, auditing, or financial analysis experience.
