This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance or accounting career who is comfortable working with transaction-heavy data and is interested in the alternative finance space. The role focuses on reconciling merchant payments, bank activity, and internal systems to ensure accuracy and timely issue resolution. Key Responsibilities Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of merchant payments, ACH debits, and bank accounts Reconcile internal MCA systems against bank statements and third-party processors Identify missing, duplicate, or failed merchant payments and escalate issues as needed Track adjustments, chargebacks, reversals, and payment corrections Work closely with collections, funding, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate reconciliation reports and supporting documentation Assist with month-end close and reporting related to merchant activity Follow internal controls, compliance requirements, and company procedures Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in reconciliations, accounting support, finance, or payment processing (MCA, fintech, or lending experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high-volume transactions Proficiency in Google Sheets (sorting, formulas, basic lookups) Ability to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication skills
