Job Description

Essential duties and
Responsibilities:
Controls & Oversight:
Provide independent oversight of operational finance processes and reconciliation activities. Review and validate financial transactions, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and operational risks. 3
PL Reconciliation Oversight:
Own oversight responsibilities for Third-Party Logistics (3PL) reconciliations. Review reconciliation accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Operations, Finance, and other external partners.
Exception Reporting & Variance Analysis:
Review operational exception reports and variance analyses. Monitor Helmsman and operational variance trends. Identify root causes and escalate issues requiring management attention.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Collaboration:
Partner with multiple departments to identify, communicate, and resolve inventory discrepancies, while supporting accurate reporting and operational efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain environments preferred. Must have a high level of integrity and trustworthiness Strong understanding of inventory management practices, and reconciliation processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to accurately maintain records, analyze discrepancies, and prepare inventory reports. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food distribution, warehouse safety, and quality control practices is preferred. Flexible and adaptable to support additional responsibilities or modified tasks based on operational and business needs. Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed to support operational requirements. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
