Role:
Join Little Black Pearl Workshop as a Finance Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial health and operational efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a creative and community-focused organization in the heart of Chicago.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping. Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform strategic decisions. Manage budgeting processes and forecast financial performance. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial operations. Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance their skills. Implement financial systems and processes for efficiency. Assist in grant management and funding proposals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 5+ years of experience in finance and bookkeeping roles. Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Experience in non-profit finance is a plus. Proficient in TOAST, QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial tools
