Robert Half Operations Specialist Needham, MA Apply Description We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team in Needham, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance within a banking environment. This position requires a strong understanding of banking operations, accounting principles, and regulatory standards to support seamless reconciliation processes and audits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of general ledger and bank statement accounts, including activities related to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries to support financial reporting processes.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with Operations and Accounting teams to ensure proper and timely transaction bookings.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and respond to audit and examiner requests with precision.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and banking regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks, contributing to critical decision-making.
- Utilize advanced spreadsheet tools to streamline reconciliation and reporting tasks.
- Ensure adherence to high standards and regulatory expectations, including PCAOB guidelines. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in banking or financial services roles.
- Proficiency in banking operations, consumer lending, and accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, including SOX and PCAOB.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet applications and data analysis.
- Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to liaise across departments.
