Job Summary:
The purpose of this job is to process invoices and oversee general and divisional account procurement, including vendor payments, cash receipts, and monthly accounts receivables billing. Enters invoices into the system for payment. Verifies appropriate completion of financial transactions along with the maintenance of vendor records. Monitors paper inventory supplies and orders supplies of department material. Enters invoices into the system for payment. Conducts purchases and supports the accounting processes within the department. The purpose of this job is to manage and analyze the accounts receivables for all medical and non-medical services provided within the health and community services department. This position identifies reimbursement barriers, resolves unpaid claims, assists with the revenue cycle reporting process, reimbursements, and receivables. Strong attention to detail and forward-thinking are a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides accounting support and coordination to County departments. Receives and records checks, creates receipts, and prepares checks for deposit. Supports account receivable/payable records and processes. Reviews, processes, and enters invoices and checks in appropriate systems for payment. Manages County financial records, records vendor documents, creates receipts and balance checks for deposit to submit to Treasurer's Office. Creates vendor 1099s, completes check escheat process, and maintains check inventory. Assists County staff, vendors and other agencies with financial matters via email, phone, and mail. Provides administrative support, including managing inventory of paper supplies, ordering business cards, and printing letterheads. Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience High school diploma (or GED equivalent) 1 to 3 years of related work experience in accounting, finance, and customer service Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
