JOB SUMMARY
Responsibility for accounting functions and payroll: general ledger, payroll, financial statements, statistics, grant billings and bank reconciliations. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock's Mission to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews and pays accounts payable, posts daily to general ledger, prepares monthly financial statements, and reconciles monthly bank statements. Performs detailed financial analysis relative to productivity and expense management. Prepares bi-weekly payroll. Maintains quarterly payroll reports and prepares annual tax forms. Prepares and maintains grant billing. Assists in preparation of financial work papers in preparation for annual financial audit. Maintains fixed asset inventory. Reconciles revenue and prepares revenue accruals. Provides administrative assistance to staff in use of the time and attendance system. Backup responsibilities to business office positions.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a B.A. degree in accounting or similar filed or 4 years of equivalent training and experience. CPA, preferred. B.A. degree in accounting or equivalent in training and experience.
SKILLS:
Accounting knowledge and skills; ability to attend to detail work without error; team member, communication skills. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook. Flexibility in working on multiple tasks running concurrently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS
Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily in main facility.
