Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Precertification Financial Collection Specialist to support our Business Office by ensuring accurate financial collections, verifying coverage, and helping patients understand their financial responsibilities prior to services. What You Will Do Communicate with patients regarding financial obligations and payment options Verify insurance coverage and support financial clearance processes Coordinate with billing and clinical staff for documentation and collections Communicate with provider offices when patients cannot meet obligations Maintain Good Faith Estimate work queues Provide backup support for referral backlogs Document activities in Epic and related systems Identify and escalate payer or process issues A Typical Day Monitor work queues, verify coverage, communicate with patients on pre-service payments, collaborate with teams, and ensure all services are financially cleared before the date of service. Schedule Hybrid/remote, Full-time, 40 hours per week, With work ours Monday-Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Work Environment Home office with HIPAA-compliant workspace, high-speed internet, and ability to support multiple monitors. Must work independently and manage time effectively. Travel No regular travel required except for training or occasional meetings. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED, required 2+ years of medical field experience required 1+ year precertification or financial collections experience preferred Knowledge of insurance, billing, and medical terminology Strong attention to detail and organization Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work independently Epic experience preferred
