Finance Supervisor Specialist (WC) Bellevue Public Schools - 4.4 Bellevue, NE Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Business financial process improvement Computer operation Microsoft Excel Accounts payable Process improvement High school diploma or GED Productivity software Full Job Description Applications are being accepted for a full-time Finance Supervisor Specialist at the Welcome Center. The Finance Supervisor is responsible for the general staff operations in accounting and payroll. He/she is expected to have knowledge of all major accounting functions, and to be able to support and troubleshoot processes occurring in both payroll and accounts payable. The Finance Supervisor should possess an aptitude for working with numbers, and have advanced knowledge of spreadsheet development in Excel, as well as a functional understanding of the concepts that drive accounting and HR software packages. Additional necessary skills include the ability to effectively interact and communicate with both internal and external constituents, knowledge of policies or procedures of major areas within the district, a working knowledge of State and Federal laws or regulations pertaining to the department, and the propensity to analyze current procedures for the purpose of process improvement. Candidates should possess the ability to perform complex calculations, maintain complete confidentiality in all matters, exhibit excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and be able to prioritize and meet deadlines. A High School Diploma is required; some college or prior experience accounting/payroll in a public school setting is preferred. Minimum requirements include advanced computer knowledge including Excel and Word. Training on specialized software applications provided. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
