Job Description

These positions are located in the Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. The Financial Accounts Technician is responsible for providing financial technical support for activities in support of international clinical trials.
Qualifications:
GS-6 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience:
Experience performing financial accounting functions (e.g., handling funds, processing payments, posting financial transaction information, balancing financial accounts).
GS-7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include the following: budget execution and management; procurement, purchasing, and/or acquisition of supplies, services, and/or equipment; monitoring/controlling accounting transactions and records; reconciling financial discrepancies; reconciling subsidiary ledgers to general ledgers; and entering data in and extracting data from financial and accounting systems.
