Job Summary:
Summary These positions are located in either Accounts Payable and Receivable (FTOA ), Travel (FTOT), or the Payroll (FTOP) organization of Finance Operations (FTO), Financial Strategy and Operations (FT) Finance (F), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). As a disbursement specialist, you are responsible for performing a variety of analytical and evaluative work involved in providing funds control and ensuring Accounts Payable and Receivable operations comply with regulatory and other requirements. Responsibilities About the Position - Portland This position is located in Portland, OR which boasts huge spans of amazing trees, foliage, landscape, and everywhere you look you can appreciate beautiful greenery! It is known as the most bike-friendly city in America, has a train system that greets you at the airport spanning across the city, and is home to the Portland International Rose Garden, the oldest in the country! Portland is the one place where you will find lively festivals, energetic music, mouthwatering food, and for you basketball fans, the Portland Trail Blazers are a 7 minute walk from the HQs building! There is always something new to experience in this eco-friendly town. As a Disbursement Specialist, you will: Perform analyses and reporting of various metrics within the organization. Generate reports regarding BPA performance and compliance under the Prompt Payment Act, Improper Payment and Recovery Act, and Government Chage Abuse Prevention Act. Ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Code withholding and reporting requirements. Coordinate with DOE headquarters, other government agencies, and taxing authorities all reporting requirements. Prepare all outside reports to DOE headquarters, other government agencies, and taxing authorities. Perform final approval on field clerk entries and transactions. Process Imprest Fund changes and maintain the Imprest Fund file. Access the Treasury system to run IPAC billing documents. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
GS-09: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-07, in the Federal service. Specialized experience for the GS-09 grade level is defined as: 1) Using financial management or Contracting systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Asset Suite, or Oracle, etc.) to process recurring payments that may include vendor, travel and payroll, or collections or receivables, and retrieve routine data; and 2) Supporting senior employees in compiling, analyzing, and summarizing financial information related to payments, trends, statistics and cost impacts associated with discretionary actions.
