Job Description
As a member of the COG Commercial Team and the COG Finance Team, the Division Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing the financial management and success of the commercial lines business, ensuring compliance with the company's policies and procedures, and providing strategic financial guidance and analytic tools to the divisional leadership team and the overall finance function.

Commercial Lines Responsibilities Business Partnering:
Day to day active business partnering across all product line leaders for Commercial lines, including both business and finance leaders. Communicate financial information and analysis to the divisional leadership team, as well as COG FP&A and COG CFO, including presenting financial reports, analysis and recommendations for future performance KPI trendingFinancial Strategy:
Work with the divisional leadership team to develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's financial goals. Lead on business cases for new Commercial distribution deals and growth strategies, ensuring stakeholder management to deliver structured & timely sign-off an approval process as requiredFinancial Planning and Analysis:
Drive and lead on all Commercial Lines financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly and quarterly performance. Prepare insightful, timely, executive level FP&A deliverables to the business leaders and COG Finance in line with the corporate FP&A calendar. Identify material variances on KPIs and provide insightful analytics, recommending adjustments and corrective actions as neededFinancial Analytic Tools:
Design, implement and deliver analytical tools that provide timely insights and trend analysis on business performance across all P&L categories, inclusive of premium roll forwards, acquisition cost bridging, and key expense analytics, and across all cohorts of commercial business, inclusive of segment and industry.Financial Compliance :
Strong business partnering with COG Head ofFP&A, COG
Controllership and COG Actuarial teams to ensure compliance of the division, regional and local Commercial operations with local and US GAAP policies, as well as company policies and proceduresLeadership:
Manage and develop a matrix team of business and finance professionals, including training and performance management Drive process improvement & automation: Lead and drive digital transformation of day-to-day financial reporting processes for Commercial lines across all of COG. Business partner closely with COG head of FP&A on global initiatives for FP&A digital flip and automation.BI enabled analytics:
Work with COG Head of FP&A and the business leaders to drive a self-service BI enabled curiosity on financial performanceAd Hoc Analysis:
Complete ad ‐ hoc requests as necessary in desired timeframe. This includes anticipating future requests based on current activities/events and presenting options/solutions. Support other ad hoc Finance projects and initiatives identified by management Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting (or equivalent experience) 7+ years' experience in finance related fields, within the insurance industry Significant background in financial planning, financial analytics, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and controls Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting process, and relevant industry trends. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
