Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance/Accounting Specialist to lead key accounts receivable and cash management functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency. This role also serves as a backup for payroll and acts as a subject matter expert for AR-related activities, partnering cross-functionally with internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee cash application processes (checks, ACH, wires) and perform complex reconciliations Review and approve customer invoicing in line with contract terms and accounting policies Lead resolution of billing discrepancies, unapplied cash, and customer payment issues Manage AR aging and drive collections efforts for high-priority accounts Support payroll processing as a backup, ensuring accuracy and compliance Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and commission calculations Execute treasury activities such as wire transfers, ACH uploads, and cash forecasting support Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit activities Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements Provide guidance to junior staff and support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-7 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting Experience supporting or backing up payroll processes Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Work Environment:
