Our client, a hospital located near Amarillo, TX, has a need for a Controller to join their team. They will consider someone with strong experience as a Manager/Supervisor in Accounting or Finance. Candidates MUST have

Position Requirements:

CPA - not required Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred. Minimum of five years hospital accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of financial management and analysis principles and techniques and managerial skills typically acquired through experience in accounting or healthcare operations. Relevant experience in financial management and financial operations, including but not limited to labor management, revenue analysis, expense management, contract negotiation, and utilization review. Relevant experience in budgeting, both capital planning and operations. Relevant experience in creating and executing a strong internal control environment.

Hospital information:

50 beds hospital, opened Nov 10 (Brand new hospital) ADC sitting in mid 20s, Joint Venture with BSA Strongly prefer the candidate have hospital experience (big learning curve for health care financials vs non). 2 direct reports (AP/Payroll Specialist and Central Supply), prefer managerial experience. At least 2 years, managing smaller teams. Lots of regional support and input. Prefer someone local to the Amarillo area (within 25 miles) or willing to relocate In office position (8a-5p, NO REMOTE). Controller will be involved with patient rounding, finance and hospital operations Leadership team is laid back, high expectations of standards, professional. But it's a fun atmosphere and with good balance of work and life Each leader is expected to participate in Administrator on call in case of emergency
