Job Description

In this role, everything starts with you! We are looking for a process-oriented all-star to manage a variety of incoming tasks for the team and to lead revenue collection and reporting within Prince William Public Libraries (PWPL). The Business Services Specialist ensures efficiency and accuracy in several financial processes that are integral to PWPL's success.
About This Role:
As a Business Services Specialist in the Financial Services Division of Prince William Public Libraries, you'll initiate processes and monitor efficient team operations. You'll provide escalated customer service for inquiries related to financial transactions and procedures (from staff and the public). You will manage revenue collection procedures followed at all 12 Library branches and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate and prompt. This role is highly collaborative, with all tasks requiring some level of coordination and cooperation with others. The tasks are generally varied and fast-paced. As a member of the of the Financial Services Division team, you'll play a key role in developing efficient systems with heavy consideration of the impact on the end user. Our customers are primarily our PWPL colleagues.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in administrative coordination and operational support.
Preferences:
At least 3 years of experience in administrative and/or financial roles Experience in Government or Public sector finance Experience monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls policy. Experience clarifying administrative or technical processes for internal customers and colleagues. Experience optimizing internal processes with a focus on reducing lead times, cutting costs, or increasing output Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Oracle, Workday)
Special Requirements:
The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work Schedule:
This is a non-exempt full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The PWPL Administrative Services Center is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday and work time must be within these hours. This is a telework eligible role (up to 1 day per week after training is complete) that may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change.
Hiring Salary Range :
