Job Description

A leading global trading firm is looking for a quantitative strategist to join their highly respected options market making team in Chicago. This is a high impact role at one of the most technically sophisticated firms in the industry where you'll play a critical part in enhancing core pricing algorithms that directly drive trading performance across the firm. The position sits at the intersection of research and engineering, and allows you to have visibility across the entire platform. This is a unique opportunity to join a top-tier trading firm and work at the core of its options business, with a direct impact on trading outcomes and significant influence on performance. Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve options pricing models with a focus on equity and equity index products Collaborate closely with traders and researchers to refine model assumptions and improve real time pricing accuracy Build and optimize low-latency systems supporting pricing, risk, and market data integration Analyze large scale datasets to identify inefficiencies and enhance model performance Contribute to the evolution of the firm's systematic trading and pricing infrastructure Ideal Background 5+ years of experience in systematic trading, quantitative research, or derivatives focused roles Strong expertise in options pricing (equity or equity index preferred), including volatility modeling Advanced programming skills in Python and C++ (or another low-level language) B.S. and/or M.S. from a top 50 university in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field Demonstrated ability to bridge quantitative modeling and production-grade development in a trading environment
