Federated Hermes Inc. Associate Quantitative Analyst ? MDT Boston, MA Apply The Federated Hermes MDT Investment Team has a long-standing track record of strong performance driven by a quantitative, systematic investment process built on proprietary models and deep research. As an Associate Quantitative Analyst on the MDT Investment Team, you will contribute directly to the research that powers our investment models. This is a highly technical, hands-on role ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems and applying advanced statistical and computational methods to real-world financial data. Analysts work closely with senior researchers and portfolio managers, gaining exposure to the full research workflow and learning the underlying frameworks that guide systematic investing. Major Duties:
- Conduct research to identify, test, and refine predictive signals
- Analyze large, high-dimensional financial datasets using modern statistical and machine learning methods
- Design experiments and build research prototypes in production-quality code
- Collaborate with senior researchers to validate model assumptions, and enhance the robustness of the investment process
Position Specifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, applied math, or similar quantitative discipline required
- Strong programming ability required
- Research experience, experience working with Python in a scientific setting, and experience working with large datasets preferred
- No prior finance experience required The annual base salary range for the position is \$110,000
- \$130,000.
