Job Description

My client, a top Private Equity firm is looking for a VP of Valuations to join their team due to growth. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly and quarterly valuations for private market investments, including private equity, venture capital, and private credit Build and review valuation models (DCF, comps, transaction analysis, option pricing) Analyze valuation assumptions, market data, and company performance Prepare valuation reports and presentations for committees, auditors, and stakeholders Partner with investment teams to assess portfolio company performance Manage relationships with auditors and third-party valuation firms Track market trends and regulatory changes affecting valuations Improve valuation policies, processes, and governance Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA preferred 5-10 years of valuation experience in Big 4, advisory, or similar firms Strong experience valuing private market investments Deep knowledge of valuation methods and financial modeling Experience leading valuation processes and supporting audits Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment For more information, please apply or reach out to emma.bradley@oliverjames.com directly.
