Job Description
HilltopSecurities is looking to hire a Financial Strategies Team Analyst. This is a growing team, and the selected candidate will work on-site in Memphis, TN, with direct exposure to our Sales & Trading team. The Financial Strategies Team Analyst will support a blend of analytical work and quantitative development, including enhancing reporting workflows, implementing model checks, and contributing to portfolio insights. This role requires strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, auditability, and professional client communication. Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Math/Stats, Data Science, or related field. 2+ years of professional experience in finance/analytics or related roles. Solid knowledge of fixed-income securities and analytics (yield curve, spread, duration/convexity), and balance sheet and income statements. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment; client-ready professionalism and timely responses. Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R, VBA, .NET, and/or experience with large datasets and databases (SQL). Strong Excel skills and experience. Bond Accounting and/or Asset/Liability management experience a plus.

Key Responsibilities Validate bond and portfolio metrics across periods; maintain checklists and calculation logs to enforce consistency and audit trails. Perform balance sheet analysis to inform strategy (rate sensitivity, liquidity, funding costs); draft clear summaries for stakeholders. Collaborate with client-facing teams to translate analysis into narratives and visuals, tailor messaging to audience expertise and meeting objectives. Engage withSales and Clients:
prepare materials, present findings professionally, and document feedback and next steps. Create client-ready slides and memos that present complex topics clearly and professionally; proofread for accuracy and consistency. Contribute to SOPs (standard operating procedures), data dictionaries, and documentation that support scale, onboarding, and handoffs; standardize templates for reports and offer sheets. Participate in recurring team workflow, test and validate analytical tools, capture meeting notes and follow-up actions. Develop/refine analytics scripts and templates (Python/R or .NET); use version control, testing, and naming conventions to ensure reproducibility.Support recurring team activities:
