Director of Financial Reporting Columbia, South Carolina, POSTED DATE 03/23/2026 CLOSING DATE 06/21/2026 Director of Financial Reporting
  • Columbia, SC (Hybrid) The Director of Financial Reporting leads the Financial Reporting & Analysis, as well as SOX compliance functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting throughout the organization.
Oversees the preparation and submission of quarterly regulatory reports—including Call Reports and capital ratios—to the Farm Credit Administration, as well as required quarterly and annual filings for the Farm Credit Funding Corporation.
What You'll Do:
Lead Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for all entities in alignment with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Ensure timely submission of periodic regulatory and stakeholder reports across the District, Bank, and Associations.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance practices that support audit readiness and SOX requirements.
  • Review financial results to validate accuracy and provide insights into trends and variances.
  • Support external audits and regulatory examinations by coordinating timelines, documentation, and responses. Provide Accounting Standards Expertise and Staff Development
  • Guide staff in researching and interpreting accounting and regulatory requirements to ensure consistent application across entities.
  • Oversee the team responsible for addressing technical accounting matters and disclosure guidance for the Bank and Associations.
  • Strengthen staff capabilities through targeted development, training, and access to relevant accounting resources. Direct Financial Reporting Projects and Process Improvements
  • Lead District-level initiatives, including the adoption of new accounting standards and enhancements to reporting processes.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of financial and reporting systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor policies and procedures to support effective financial reporting operations.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business Administration Required
  • 10+ years of accounting and reporting experience (public or private), including exposure at a manager level
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Bank and Association management, as well as external accounting professionals and regulators.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
