Job Overview - Financial Reporting Manager (SEC)
Compensation:
$120,000 - $165,000/year + bonus
Location:
Delaware County, PA Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid) Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting Manager (SEC) in Delaware County, PA for our client, supporting external financial reporting, SEC filings, and disclosure management initiatives within a publicly traded corporate environment. This role will support external reporting, accounting research, disclosure activities, and reporting process enhancements while collaborating with cross-functional finance and business teams. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced within public accounting, SEC reporting, or corporate external reporting environments. Responsibilities as the Financial Reporting Manager (SEC):
SEC Reporting:
Lead preparation and review of SEC filings, external financial statements, and related footnote disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
Disclosure Management:
Research, draft, and maintain quarterly and annual disclosures while monitoring evolving reporting requirements and disclosure trends.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and develop external reporting and SEC reporting staff members.
Financial Reporting Support:
Assist with quarter-end and year-end reporting activities, financial analyses, and close support processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with investor relations, controllership, sustainability, finance, and external auditors on reporting and disclosure initiatives.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
Support reporting controls, disclosure processes, regulatory reporting activities, and external reporting process improvements. Qualifications for the Financial Reporting Manager (SEC):
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Certifications:
CPA designation is required.
Experience:
7+ years of public accounting, SEC reporting, external reporting, or related accounting experience is required.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP, SEC
reporting requirements, external reporting processes, and financial statement disclosure requirements is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, while Workiva experience is preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical abilities, leadership skills, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven environment are required.
