DESCRIPTION
Join Amazon's Devices & Services Financial Planning & Analysis team and shape the financial strategy behind innovative products like Alexa, Ring, FireTV, and Kindle. In this role, you'll combine financial expertise with AI-driven innovation to transform complex data into compelling narratives that drive business decisions across one of Amazon's fastest-growing organizations. Key job responsibilities Coordinate financial planning and analysis processes by managing review documentation, incorporating stakeholder input, and ensuring accurate financial storytelling for leadership across product lines Facilitate leadership review meetings by preparing comprehensive financial analyses and presenting insights that support strategic business decisions Maintain cross-functional alignment by coordinating with product line teams and stakeholders to ensure financial priorities are understood and integrated into business planning Manage financial review calendars and timelines by establishing work schedules that align business reviews with corporate deliverables and ensure timely completion of financial processes Investigate and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance financial reporting accuracy, streamline analytical processes, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency A day in the life As a Finance Manager on our Financial Planning & Analysis team, you'll be at the intersection of financial strategy and operational excellence. Your day might include facilitating leadership review meetings where you present financial insights that influence product investment decisions, collaborating with cross-functional product teams to refine forecasts and budgets, and exploring how AI tools can streamline our reporting processes and uncover deeper business insights. You'll work closely with our finance partners and product leadership to ensure alignment on financial priorities, while also managing the logistics of our review calendar to keep everyone coordinated. Your work directly impacts how leadership understands the financial health and opportunities within our Devices & Services portfolio. About the team We are a collaborative Financial Planning & Analysis team dedicated to supporting the strategic growth of Amazon's Devices & Services organization. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience MBA, or CPA Knowledge of SQL/ETL Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
