Mobile West We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Banker to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and growing both consumer and commercial loan portfolios in accordance with bank lending policies. The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, skilled in credit analysis, and motivated to build new business while maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Build and grow loan and deposit relationships by actively prospecting through calls, visits, and community involvement Develop and execute a business development plan to achieve lending and growth goals Interview loan applicants and analyze financial statements, credit history, and collateral to assess creditworthiness Structure, recommend, and approve loans within established lending authority and bank policies Maintain ongoing client relationships through regular contact and needs-based cross-selling of bank services Monitor loan performance, including repayment activity, and take appropriate action on past-due accounts Maintain portfolio quality by managing past dues, exceptions, and loan risk within acceptable levels Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal policies Meet or exceed performance goals established by senior management Perform additional duties that support the profitability and growth of the bank Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related field Minimum 7 years of lending experience with a proven loan portfolio Strong knowledge of: Commercial and consumer lending Financial analysis and credit underwriting Banking regulations and compliance requirements Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills Work Environment & Requirements Primarily office-based with occasional outdoor and client-facing activities Regular travel to meet customers and prospects (valid driver's license and insurance required) Proficiency in lending systems and Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to attend offsite training and conferences Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and use hands for computer work Frequent reaching, occasional standing, walking, or bending Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment
