Member Service Representative

Applications must be picked up in person at the Credit Union located at 229 N. Colorado Avenue, Haxtun, CO. Haxtun Federal Credit Union, a branch of Sterling Federal Credit Union, currently has an opening for an outgoing and energetic individual for our member services/teller team. The duties include processing member transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the "frontline" of our credit union and will play a fundamental role in achieving member satisfaction. You must be comfortable completing many transactions daily and able to communicate with different types of individuals. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Conduct dozens of routine transactions within time limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals etc) Assess member needs and introduce new products and services Make referrals and suggest alternate products and services Go the "extra mile" to build trust relationships, member loyalty and satisfaction Comply with regulatory requirements Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses Resolve members' issues and provide relevant information Skills Applicant needs to be friendly and outgoing and provide outstanding member service Proven working experience in a credit union or banking environment (Preferred but not required) Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash drawers, receipt validators, money counters) Strong communication and time management skills Member satisfaction-oriented Attention to detail and mathematical skills Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
