Job Description:
This role focuses on generating commercial loans, growing core deposits, and delivering treasury management and wealth management solutions to business owners and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a proven business developer with formal credit training, strong relationship management skills, and an established network within the South Florida market. Success in this role requires balancing portfolio growth, credit quality, and client service while serving as a trusted financial advisor to business clients. Job Requirements Develop and manage a portfolio of small to mid-sized business banking relationships. Generate new commercial loan opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and Centers of Influence (COIs). Grow low-cost deposits, including DDA and money market accounts. Structure commercial credit facilities, including C&I and owner-occupied CRE transactions. Analyze financial statements, cash flow, tax returns, and business performance to identify lending opportunities. Prepare and present loan packages, credit requests, and relationship summaries for approval. Manage all aspects of portfolio administration, including annual reviews, renewals, covenant monitoring, and risk management. Cross-sell treasury management, merchant services, and wealth management solutions. Maintain strong client relationships through regular business development calls and in-person meetings. Partner with credit, underwriting, treasury management, and operations teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions. Maintain knowledge of market trends, industry conditions, and competitive banking products. Ensure compliance with all bank policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements. Represent the bank at networking events, business associations, and community functions to enhance market presence. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required. 5-8 years of commercial banking or business banking experience. Formal bank credit training required. Existing book of business and proven business development track record required. Strong experience with commercial loan structuring and documentation. Experience managing commercial loan portfolios and conducting annual reviews. Strong understanding of C&I lending and business banking products. Experience selling treasury management solutions and deposit products. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with business owners, CPAs, attorneys, and other referral sources. Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Knowledge of the South Florida business market preferred. Ability to generate both loan and deposit growth while maintaining strong credit quality.
