Job Description

Description The Corporate Paralegal will play a vital role in assisting our Investment Banking group, working on a diverse range of U.S. and cross-border transactions. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal agreements, managing records, and coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist attorneys and senior paralegals in the Investment Banking group with legal support. Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other transaction-related documents. Manage legal records retention for investment banking transactions, ensuring compliance. Administer the DocuSign process for legal agreements and maintain a database of executed agreements. Assist in updating and maintaining the form agreement library, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Coordinate with legal, compliance, and investment banking teams on firm-wide matters, including policy updates. Expand responsibilities with experience, including substantive review of engagement letters and operative agreements. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards in all aspects of the role. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required. At least 2+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal, in-house or at a law firm, is preferred. Familiarity with DocuSign, DataStore, or other document management systems is an asset. Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and transactions effectively. Proactive approach to work, with the ability to initiate follow-up and ensure timely project execution. Responsive and attentive to the needs of internal business clients and colleagues.
