FUNCTION / SUMMARY
The Community Bank Business Lender represents community banking by providing access to a full suite of banking and lending services tailored to the clients' specific needs. This position will contribute to bank growth and profitability by maintaining and expanding client relationships as a knowledgeable and responsive resource in the markets we serve.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages existing client relationships to retain and expand business. Develops new and existing customer relationships through networking, referrals, and outside calling efforts. Collaborates with branch managers and product managers as the primary contact for business banking and lending solutions. Manage the flow of loan and deposit requests through the appropriate channels to ensure the credit quality, responsiveness, structure and pricing meeting the needs of the client and United Bank. Proactively manages customer relationships by identifying financial needs, delivering solutions to meet the needs, and delivering quality customer service. Reviews applicant financial data to evaluate credit worthiness and manages difficult credit situations. Negotiates terms and makes decisions on loans within limits or makes recommendations. Monitors outstanding loans to ensure ongoing credit worthiness. Represents United Bank through participation in community organizations, boards, and other related leadership activities. Work with product partners to analyze, evaluate and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each client or prospect. Works to understand the community bank model and the impact United Bank has on small business and markets where we operate. Any other duties as assigned by Management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years lending experience to include small business and commercial lending 3+ years demonstrated abilities in financial analysis, credit and loan underwriting Sound decision making and problem solving Strong background in business development, relationship and portfolio management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and lending software platforms
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Previous commercial lending experience, in a community banking environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand, or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ten pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity.
