Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Member Service Representative who can speak Mandarin and Cantonese to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our members and patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting various banking and financial services. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure smooth operations, foster positive relationships, and promote financial wellness within our community. Responsibilities Greets, welcomes and directs all patients/clients appropriately.
Performs check-in functions for patients:
Register New Patients (includes taking patient's ID picture) Gathers most current patient's demographic and insurance data from existing patients when needed Updates the data in the system and prints the updated Front page to Medical Records. Verifies eligibility of coverage (e.g. Mass Health, sliding free, other 3rd party payers) Refers patient to Social Services for any issues related to health insurance needs. . Check-in patients. Collects co-pay when necessary. Direct patients to the clinic.
Performs patient scheduling functions:
Schedules patients' walk-in appointment according to each clinic scheduling guidelines. Consults the triage nurse for any exceptions from the guidelines. Screens in-coming calls and transfers the calls appropriately if necessary. Takes messages and delivers to the appropriate parties in a timely manner. Performs opening and closing the clinic functions Others functions: Maintains a clean, neat and well stocked work area at all times Projects neat, clean and professional appearance Treats patients and co-workers with respect Performs other duties as assigned Consistently demonstrates SCCHC's mission and values statement Experience Bilingual in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin . From $19.00 per hour
