Job Description

Leveraged Lending Analyst-2
Overview:
Serve as a member of an analyst team that supports senior bankers in leveraged finance transactions. Prepare financial analysis and underwriting materials and assist in the preparation of proposals and pitches.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in the preparation of materials to support leveraged finance transactions, including financial modeling; comparable company transaction multiple or deal structure analyses to support deal positioning, negotiation and execution
  • Assist in the preparation of memoranda, presentation materials, and marketing materials
  • Facilitate research projects that underpin transaction positioning and recommendations to enhance shareholder value
  • Coordinate and carryout routine operational tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage business unit projects as assigned
  • Maintain appropriate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Understand and ad to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Supports a defined product set of valuation skills, including modeling. Has a working knowledge of lending and credit, as well as investment banking (0-3 years).The position requires introductory interaction with clients and referral sources-external (prospective customers) and internal (various Bank personnel) contacts to perform responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and 1 years' experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 year's banking or financial services experience.

Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel and Power PointEducation and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of 1 years' proven and progressive investment banking and capital markets roles.
Physical Requirements:
Travel required.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $77,300.00
  • $128,900.
00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
