Job Description
Job Summary The Community Market President is a business-critical role within the HomeTrust Bank market. This role serves as the brand ambassador and is responsible for the bank's reputation and position in the assigned community. This position is also responsible for administering and coordinating the activities of the city/county offices engaged in full-service functions (deposits and lending). As the Commercial Relationship Manager for the market, the Community Market President will aggressively pursue new business opportunities, originating commercial loans and selling our products and services to commercial clients. Works closely with mortgage and retail staff and ensures appropriate teamwork. Responsible for providing loan and deposit services to an existing book of business while also spending time outside of the office engaged in business development and consultation activities with clients, business owners and other referral sources. Promote the growth and prosperity of the Region/Division by professionally serving the needs of customers. Plan and implement the area's strategy for additional penetration into the local market for loans, business deposits and treasury management services within HomeTrust Bank strategy and philosophy. Actively participate in all activities associated with business development efforts for city/county. Participate in local community activities including serving on community and regional boards. Research competitive practices in the region. Originate loans and make pre-qualification determinations. Optimize the best type of financing arrangements for both parties. Supervise the preparation of loan packages ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Maybe required to participate and direct local advisory/affiliate board meetings. Be familiar with all HomeTrust Banking Partnership Retail products and services. Develop and maintain personal loan pipeline. Works with Portfolio Managers to facilitate annual review process and originate new credit opportunities. Respond timely to customer inquiries concerning active loans and Bank loan offerings and related business. Cross sell appropriate deposit products. Provide loan status reports to management as requested. Manage loan portfolio and ensure appropriate process is followed on delinquent accounts. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws. Complete all mandatory annual compliance training. Follow regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection and determent of money laundering and other unlawful activities, as well as regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance to include fair lending laws. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements Education:
Four-year degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience.Required:
Seven to ten years of professional level banking in a medium to large sized commercial bank. Experience should include mortgage lending, business/commercial lending, consumer lending, business development and marketing, and bank management. Demonstrated knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and lending practices. Thorough knowledge of all bank business lending and deposit products. Demonstrated knowledge of credit analysis functions and related requirements and procedures. Successful completion of bank training program(s) for lending (depending on experience and background as a lender). Must be bondable. Demonstrated ability to understand and use Bank loan policies and procedures to support positive customer interactions. Competent computer skills utilizing office and banking applications. Excellent attention to detail. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills, demonstrated by effective business relationships and production. Skilled professional networker. Familiarity with all federal and state banking regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance, including fair lending laws. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions. Sales and service aptitude and ability. Earns credibility quickly. Ability to resolve customer concerns/issues in a positive way. Effective team member and demonstrates collaboration skills. Ability to listen to and convey accurately and quickly, detailed information, important instructions and/or ideas. Ability to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of Bank policy and assigned personal authority.
