Job Description
A commercial banking team is seeking a Commercial Banking Associate to assist business banking clients and support their commercial lending team. This is a client-facing role that requires relationship management, operations support, and high-level customer service. This role will act as a trusted support partner ensuring a professional banking experience from start to finish. This is an ideal role for banking professionals who enjoy building long-term partnerships, supporting commercial customers, and working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support relationship management and portfolio support activities
- Serve as a primary contact for commercial and business banking clients
- Assist clients with account servicing needs
- Coordinate with business clients, legal, tax, and insurance representatives, as well as internal departments to resolve outstanding items
- Support commercial loan servicing activities
- Review loan and account documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Monitor reports and communicate servicing concerns, past-due items, or account issues to lenders as needed
- Assist with treasury, deposit, and operational servicing activities for commercial relationships
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through additional banking products and services when appropriate
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, responsiveness, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience within commercial banking, business banking, relationship banking, treasury support, or commercial lending support environments
- Previous experience supporting commercial or business banking clients required
- Strong understanding of commercial lending processes and relationship support
- Experience handling wires, account maintenance, treasury services, deposit servicing, or related banking
- Strong professionalism, communication skills, and client service abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel This role may be a strong fit for candidates coming from:
