Provides prompt, efficient service for assigned product internal and external customers. Consults and interprets contract provisions for current and past products and assumed business for policyholders, agents/brokers and other enterprise operating units.Key Responsibilities:
Responds to inquiries from customers, brokers, agents, and government agencies through oral and written communication. Assists customers with financial transactions and processes monetary transactions according to policy provisions within assigned limits. Consults on contract provisions and interprets policies for customers, agents, brokers, and other departments. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of contract/product provisions, processing systems, and applicable federal and state regulations. Resolves routine errors, identifies issues requiring advanced knowledge, and refers complex situations to senior team members as needed.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Recent degree in finance, business, insurance, economics, or communications preferredExperience:
Three years work experience with two years product-related customer service work experience preferred.Skills:
Knowledge of general office practices, customer service, office equipment, and familiarity with insurance/financial services industry practices (e.g., annuities, mutual funds). Strong problem-solving skills, basic mathematics, and proficiency in office filing systems and record-keeping procedures. Effective written and oral communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management, along with the ability to prioritize tasks. Due to the fiduciary accountabilities within this job, a valid credit check and/or background check will be required as part of the selection process. #TMCSSimilar remote jobs
