To assist members with their financial transactions, including cash exchanges, processing payments and issuing and accepting negotiable instruments. To direct and schedule resources needed to meet the cash flow operations of the branch while supporting management with the development and growth of teller line associates.Knowledge & Skills:
One year to three years of similar or related experience; minimum of one year Teller II experience recommended. A high school education or GED. Strong interpersonal skills are a prerequisite necessary to this position. This includes verbal communication, nonverbal communication, listening skills, developing rapport, empathy, flexibility, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, respect and persuasiveness. Ability to operate general office equipment such as copier, computer and other CU provided equipment. Ability to operate related computer software as provided by the CU. Ability to grasp the effects of member requests as they related to individual accounts. Knowledge of common scam and fraud prevention practices. Fundamental knowledge of the financial industry, including an understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process and the legal theory of negotiable instruments and collections.
