Full Job Description Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Customer service experience preferred Financial institution experience preferred
Knowledge:
Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees Mathematical skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Strong communication skills Strong organizational skills Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy Competent with computers, telephone, 10-key and other office machinery Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed Ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on the spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank's risk. Ability to think through and rationalize decisions Familiar with banking regulations as it relates to new accounts and lending English language knowledge. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Tasks Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Open new accounts, enter loan data into various software platforms, pull credit reports, etc. Employee will serve as a New Accounts Rep as well as an Administrative Assistant. Perform Teller duties when the need arises and use this as an opportunity to enhance the banking experience for new customers. Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts. Promote the bank's services, answer customer questions, and promote other bank products and services. Answer basic customer inquiries regarding products while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies. Verify and examine information of new account applications and loan applications during detailed interactions with bank customers. Always make a customer feel appreciated by thanking them for their business. Participates in special projects as assigned Other duties as required
