The Commercial Loan Officer III is an external sales role that focuses on growing a Commercial portfolio through building new customer relationships. This job will meet or exceed annual sales, revenue, volume & new customer objectives. The Commercial Loan Officer III will maximize profitability, revenue and retention of new relationships by cross selling the full range of products and services. This job is the primary contact for developing new client relationships while managing existing Customer relationships.
CRE Commercial Loan Officer Responsibilities:
Originate and structure commercial real estate loans including (retail, industrial, multifamily, office and mixed-use properties) Establish and maintain relationships with developers, attorneys, brokers and various CRE industry networking sources Analyze financials, cash flows, rent rolls, operating statements, collateral, market data for sound credit decisioning Work with internal business partners to complete credit discussion or approval memos Negotiate loan terms and coordinate closings with outside legal counsel and internal underwriting teams Monitor loan portfolio performance and ensure compliance Meet or exceed annual production and portfolio growth goals while maintaining sound credit quality and acceptable ROE Operate well within a high paced environment and collaborate with multiple team members Experience with secured construction, term, and multi-asset pool lending Familiarity with loan documentation and regulatory requirements
Depth & Scope:
Works independently to develop new business with prospects that have moderate and large complex credit needs. Maintains established market presence Makes calls independently Gathers related financial and general business information, participates in credit decision process and communicates with prospects to close sales Prepares basic management reports summarizing loan activity Meets regularly with internal referral sources to establish business relationships and develops network of outside referral sources for new business Compiles necessary data and information to begin financial analysis Contributes and provides input to loan decision process based on evaluation of credit risk and other key factors from Credit Management Assists in the development of less experienced loan officers Helps support Branch Managers and staff and educates them about products and the lending process Makes or assists in sales calls, gathers financial and general business information and explains products and services offered Responsible for growth goals (loans, deposits, fees), both individually and assisting the team, through development of new Commercial Customers and cross selling existing Customers as well as an established network of resources
Education & Experience:
4 year degree or equivalent experience 7+ years related experience Strong understanding of commercial business development techniques and credit decisions Demonstrates business development track record Strong market presence with wide network of outside referral sources for new business Demonstrates credit and financial analysis skills Refined negotiation skills Demonstrates communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrates PC skills Membership in civic and professional organizations required
