Job Description

Job Duties 1. Review and update the bank's Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program through periodic risk assessments of the organization's operations. 2. Review and update the bank's BSA Compliance procedures as necessary. 3. Ensure internal policies and procedures reflect all changes in laws and regulations pertaining to BSA compliance. 4. Execute the bank's BSA/AML Compliance Program. 5. Coordinate with operations personnel with respect to all
BSA/OFAC
compliance matters. 6. Responsible for complete and timely filing of all reports required under the Bank Secrecy Act, including Currency Transaction Reports (CTR's) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR's). 7. Coordinate with auditor for independent testing of the bank's BSA/AML compliance program. 8. Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act. 9. All other duties as assigned. Key Job Elements 1. Ensure bank is in compliance with BSA requirements. 2. Update and implement the BSA Program and related procedures. 3. Maintain accurate and complete documentation relating to
BSA/AML/OFAC
compliance. 4. Ensure complete and timely filing of all reports required under the BSA. Performance Expectations 1. Accurate preparation and timely filing of required BSA reports, and other government reporting. 2. Communicate effectively with employees, department managers, and executive management regarding BSA issues. 3. Effective BSA Program and policy & procedure updates. 4. Prompt and regular attendance. Associates degree in business or banking or 2 years in banking with a strong knowledge of bank systems and deposit and branch operations for BSA Program. Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Analytical ability with strong research and study skills. Ability to communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The BSA Specialist works closely with the BSA Officer managing and maintaining the bank's BSA/AML Compliance Program, including conducting periodic risk assessments, updating policies and procedures, and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. This position oversees the execution of all BSA/AML and OFAC compliance activities, collaborates with operational staff to ensure adherence across the organization, and manages the accurate and timely filing of required regulatory reports such as CTRs and SARs. The role also serves as the primary liaison for independent audits and regulatory examinations related to BSA/AML compliance.
