We Make Banking Personal At Embassy Bank, the BSA/Fraud Analyst position works to detect and report potentially suspicious activity and comply with applicable laws and regulations. In addition to monitoring accounts for suspicious activity, conducting transaction analysis reviews, and filing CTR and SAR reports, the BSA/Fraud analysts will also collaborate with team members, branches, and other departments to protect our clients and the bank from fraud losses. What You'll Do Work on tasks related to Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Know Your Client (KYC), and all other laws, regulations, and requirements designed to establish processes to detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, elder abuse, identity theft, and terrorism. File Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, and review system generated OFAC, BSA, and Fraud alerts. Conduct thorough investigations and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when required. Perform New Account Reviews to ensure proper documentation is on file and KYC/CIP information has been collected. Assist BSA Officer with tasks related to law enforcement requests, audits, and exams. Solve basic problems and include senior team members when appropriate. Meet deadlines and manage evolving/shifting deadlines. Meet clearly defined productivity and quality assurance standards. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Minimum of one year relevant experience at a professional services firm and/or bank is highly preferred. Transaction monitoring experience that is focused on BSA, Fraud, and/or OFAC experience is highly preferred. Experience with Abrigo BAM or Verafin BSA/Fraud software is a plus. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Strong analytical and decision-making/critical-thinking skills. Strong communication skills. Strong time management skills. Strong writing skills; must be able to write clear and concise reports and communicate with management. Ability to show initiative and provide proactive updates. Exhibits ability to maintain a climate of teamwork, customer service and cooperation when working with others. Demonstrates ability as well as flexibility to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
