Senior Specialist, SAR Investigations The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation - 3.5 Pittsburgh, PA Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description We're seeking a future team member for the role of SAR Investigator (Senior Specialist, SAR Investigations) to join the Fraud Investigations Team (FIT) within Financial Crimes Legal Investigations. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Investigate incidents involving Fraud and other related financial crimes, as required under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and
USA PATRIOT
Act, focusing on fraudulent check and ACH activity, as well as suspicious money order activity. Recommend and draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), to be filed by BNY with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and document decisions not to file SARs. Conduct comprehensive research, create well-organized case files, and draft timely, well-written SARs and No SARs that follow FinCEN regulations and internal guidance. Demonstrate strong and consistent attention to detail, along with an ability to work efficiently and handle tight deadlines. Effectively communicate and collaborate with managers and fellow investigators. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Graduate Degree in Law, Business, or Intelligence Studies preferred. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience working for a financial institution on AML/KYC/anti-fraud related projects, ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) or ACFE (Association or Certified Fraud Examiners) credentials, and/or intelligence work in the private or public sector, is preferred.
