The organization manages relationships with millions of merchants globally, operates the payment network, and oversees bank partnerships worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the due diligence process for prospective partners while collaborating closely with business development teams to ensure consistency and conduct quality checks. Execute accurate and regular due diligence refreshes for existing partners based on frequencies defined according to partner risk levels. Assess prospect and partner risk based on due diligence information provided and recommend appropriate risk mitigation steps when required. Coordinate with subject matter experts, including Compliance and Financial Crime teams, to ensure timely input from all relevant stakeholders. Proactively engage with partners to obtain the appropriate level of documentation and ensure timely and accurate responses to follow-ups. Ensure partner communications are clearly and simply written, outlining requirements, timelines, and consequences for non-adherence. Maintain clear and effective internal communication with Partner Managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Extensive experience in Customer Due Diligence or Compliance within regulated financial services environments. Strong understanding of due diligence methodologies, industry guidelines (FATF, JMLSG), and applicable regulatory frameworks. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in client due diligence procedures, sanctions screening, and monitoring. Ability to accurately capture and document activities undertaken, decisions made, and rationale for decisions while considering regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks. Results-oriented and self-driven with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risk triggers and evaluate risk pillars effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience creating presentations using PowerPoint and communicating complex concepts clearly. Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
University Degree or equivalent. Familiarity with tools such as LexisNexis Bankers Almanac and Dow Jones. CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certifications.
