In this role, you'll investigate suspicious activity, identify potential fraud and financial crimes, and help ensure the credit union remains compliant with regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical work, thrives on solving problems, and takes pride in protecting members and the organization from risk. What You'll Be Doing No two days are exactly the same. One day you may be reviewing unusual account activity, and the next you could be researching a complex case, preparing a regulatory filing, or working with branch staff to better understand a member's activity. You'll be responsible for investigating alerts and suspicious activity, documenting your findings, preparing SARs and CTRs, conducting customer due diligence reviews, and helping monitor higher-risk relationships. You'll also work closely with team members across the credit union to identify concerns, mitigate risk, and support our overall BSA/AML compliance efforts. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role? The strongest candidates are naturally curious, pay attention to details others might miss, and aren't afraid to ask questions. They can analyze information from multiple sources, make sound decisions, and clearly explain their findings. If you enjoy investigative work, are comfortable navigating regulations, and like solving puzzles with real-world impact, you'll likely enjoy this position. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework is preferred. Two or more years of credit union or financial institution experience required. Two or more years of BSA/AML experience, including alert investigations and SAR preparation. Experience with BSA monitoring systems such as Verafin, Abrigo, or similar platforms preferred. Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, or CBSAP are a plus. Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including SAR and CTR requirements. Why Cyprus Credit Union?
