This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with injured employees, healthcare providers, and legal professionals to ensure fair and timely resolution of claims. Your expertise will help streamline the hearing process, advocate for injured workers, and uphold the integrity of our workers' compensation program. Duties Prepare and review case files for workers' compensation hearings, ensuring all relevant medical and legal documentation is accurate and complete Represent the organization at hearings by presenting evidence, articulating case positions clearly, and advocating for fair outcomes Communicate effectively with injured employees, medical providers, attorneys, and insurance representatives via phone and written correspondence Maintain detailed records of hearing proceedings, decisions, and follow-up actions using computer systems and data entry tools Analyze medical terminology reports and legal documents to assess claim validity and develop strategic responses Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally, demonstrating strong phone etiquette, and ensuring positive interactions Assist in training new team members on hearing procedures, communication protocols, and data management practices Requirements Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse populations effectively Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working in a medical office environment or with medical terminology is advantageous Strong computer skills including data entry, case management software, and Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and hearing procedures is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided Analysis skills to interpret medical reports, legal documents, and policy guidelines accurately This role is paid and offers a vibrant work environment where your contributions directly influence fair worker outcomes.
