Job Description

Job Summary The Claims Intake Administrator will process the incoming claims, gather the injury report including required documents for processing and any additional documents needed from the reporting agencies. They coordinate with the payroll department to verify employment, when necessary, submit claims, pull wages and make first initial call to injured employees. Claims Intake Administrator will also provide internal departments, claimants and clients with claim and coverage information when requested. Claims Intake Administrator's are responsible for thoroughly investigating a claim to determine delaying, denying or accepting the claim in a timely manner. Additional tasks may be given by assigned management team. Responsibilities 1. Communicate over telephone and e-mail to various parties, internally and externally of the company. 2. Understanding the different programs and relationships involved with our company. 3. Gathering various documents from administrators, clients, clinics, and other parties to process the injured parties' claim(s). 4. Filing electronic data in the proper folders. Utilizing the claims manager database effectively 5. Provide information to direct supervisor when requested. 6. Keep a log of all workers' compensation claims submitted after 24 hours of date of knowledge. 7. Keep a list of all injured employees that are working with restrictions when applicable 8. Understand the various injury packets used in the company to explain the onboarding process with new clients. 9. Provide clients with claim updates when received. 10. Verbal and written request to direct supervisor is required for any issues regarding lack of training and development for position. 11. Communication with direct manager of any other job-related functions that may interfere with the ability to perform any of the above tasks in an efficient, professional, and productive manner. 12. Understands the importance and time sensitivity to enroll employees into Script advisor when applicable. 13. Overtime may be necessary. 14. Assist with special projects as needed. 15. Must be able to multi- task and time manage effectively 16. Ability to research and determine work status reports for injured employees 17. Meets proper deadlines and adheres to standard operating procedures 18. Adheres to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and ensures that subordinates do the same. 19. Must adhere to HIPPA guidelines and maintain current valid HIPPA training certificate. 20.

Spanish/English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day). Ability to use hands and fingers for typing and handling office equipment. Ability to see and read computer screens and printed/received documents. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone. Occasional lifting of up to 10-20 pounds (e.g., office supplies). Ability to move within the office environment (e.g., walking short distances). PREFERRED SKILLS
The ability to supervise and maintain daily job duties along with miscellaneous projects within a fast-paced work environment. The Claims Intake administrator will possess a combination of basic computer skills, be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, have excellent customer service skills, always maintain a professional demeanor during the scheduled workday, and must be able to multitask. Team management skills and the ability to prioritize work. In addition, excellent communication skills-both verbal and written. Possess understanding and dedication to the philosophies of the company.

Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
